ZOOM - questions & answers

Q: I would like to get a snow-white smile within a day and it should be healthy for my teeth. Is it possible?
A: Yes, Zoom is your answer. One-hour teeth whitening! It’s absolutely safe for your dental enamel as the whitening gel has got no acid components. This is one of the most advanced methods of professional teeth whitening.

Q: What method of whitening is better to use to do no harm to my teeth?
A: There are home and professional methods of whitening. The latter are the safest and most effective. The reason for it is that the whitening gel is activated by a specially designed light and we can use less toxic composition of whitening gel component.

Q: What is the ZOOM Whitening System?
A: The Zoom is a whitening procedure to remove deep stains and discoloration from enamel and dentin.

Q: Why teeth get dark?
A: There are a lot of causes. The most common include aging and consumption of staining substances (smoking, coffee, tea, colas, red wines and etc.). Tetracycline or some other antibiotics and excessive fluoride at the tooth-forming stage may also lead to discoloration.

Q: Who benefits from teeth whitening?
A: Almost everyone but it will be very effective for some people and less effective for others.

Q: How many people whiten their teeth?
A: More than you think. A white sparkling smile gives everybody an advantage.

Q: How safe is this?
A: Thorough and multiple clinical studies show that teeth whitening under a dentist’s supervision is safe. Moreover, a lot of dentists find this procedure the safest one compared with other dental cosmetic procedures. The ZOOM is not recommended to children under 13, pregnant women and nursing mothers.

Q: How long are the results seen?
A: Following the instructions of the ZOOM System on proper care of your teeth at home after whitening you will always have lighter teeth than before the procedure. To enjoy the result we advise you to brush your teeth with an ultrasonic toothbrush Ultrasonex and use home-whitening systems if necessary.

Q: Is there any difference between home whitening systems and ZOOM?
A: Yes, Home systems have strips, gels, toothpastes and lacquers which should be applied for a number of months to make your teeth a couple of shades whiter. It is clinically proved that the ZOOM whitens your teeth an average of 8 shades and sometimes 10-12. Only a dentist is capable of making your teeth so white so fast.

Q: How does the ZOOM System function?
A: The ZOOM light activates scientifically formulated Hydrogen Peroxide, the main ingredient of the whitening gel, which evolves atomic oxygen gently penetrating enamel and dentin and removing stains and discoloration without modifying the tooth structure. The ZOOM light increases the effect of the gel by 33%.

Q: What does a patient feel during the ZOOM procedure?
A: A patient can relax, listen to music or simply sleep. Some patients may feel temporary tooth sensitivity during the procedure but this feeling disappears within 1-3 days after whitening.

Q: How do you control the spreading of the ZOOM light?
A: It is necessary to isolate all soft tissues in and around the oral cavity (lips and gums) and wear special eye shields during the procedure. The ZOOM 2 lamp has got a new system to define a distance and light angle to optimize the results.

Q: How long does it last?
A: The whole procedure takes about an hour. We start with a short preparation of the oral cavity then go on to whitening that lasts 45-60 minutes and finish with a 5-minute fluorination.
